As a freshman in music dance theater at BYU, I am required to perform as an ensemble member of a main stage musical production. My opportunity to do so will occur in early 2017 in Mary Poppins.
In addition to being in the ensemble, I will be portraying Fannie Corry. This character is specific to the Broadway version, so I don't know much about her except that her mother is Mrs. Corry who sells words, such as “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” (So, definitely an critical job.) Of course, I do not know how this production will be costumed, but what I see of the character online is wild and colorful, reminiscent of Seussical.
I'm excited to work with a great cast—including my sister, Alana, as the “holy terror” Miss Karen Andrew—in my first BYU show!
