Monica Moore Smith
About
My first appearance occurred on July 27, 1997, in Boca Raton, Florida. I was the fourth child (and fourth daughter) of Samuel M. and Alison Moore Smith. Later, two brothers would join the family. In 2001, we moved to Utah where I still reside.
I was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school. In high school I attended the music, dance, and theater classes at Pioneer High School for the Performing Arts while continuing my academics at home. I attended Brigham Young University (BYU) on a talent scholarship, majoring in Music Dance Theatre.
As a child, sports were my focus: karate, soccer, softball, swimming…you name it. In junior high I was in my first musical and was hooked. Acting, singing, and dancing—with some modeling on the side—put sports on the back burner. In late 2013, I was seen performing in a musical by a casting director and invited to audition for my first film gig. Film work is a dream come true!
Now I am an actor, singer, model, dancer, and speaker.
Best known for starring as Julie Flinders in the cult classic Saturday’s Warrior, the viral Mormon Message Bullying – Stop It, and myriad other commercials and films, I love my job! In August of 2017, I won 1st place in the music division of CVX’s Next Big YouTuber contest.
A British telly aficionado at heart, a favorite pastime is watching BBC with my mom whilst eating Halo Top or baked Cheetos. Or both.
