One of the most unusual auditions and easiest film gigs I have ever done were for the same project. The LDS church put out a call for actors and actresses to give a tiny glimpse into Mormon beliefs.

In early November I sent a video audition that included what seemed like an eternity just looking at the camera with pleasant expressions and then repeating three words/phrases of my choice from the list given. The last word I chose to use was “joy.” (I should post a link to that unlisted video, but I don't think I will! Auditions are always weird after the fact.)

On the day of the shoot I showed up at the studio and said my word—joy—and then looked at the camera silently. Finis.

My image is in the video thumbnail and I am the last person in the 60 second bit. Really a fun, simple project. Take a look!
